For the first time the Expo Build China 2005 will be held together with Hotelex Shanghai 2005, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) and Macalline, one of the biggest building materials market in Shanghai, from April 6 to 9.

Organised by the Shanghai Expobuild International Exhibition Company in association with the BolognaFiere of Italyand China Building & Sanitary Ceramics Association, the two exhibitions – occupying a combined space of 120,000 sq m – will host more than 1,500 worldwide exhibitors who are expected to display their products and services to about 96,000 professional visitors.
Launched in 2000, Expo Build China will include Ceramics, Tile and Sanitary Ware China 2005; Doors, Windows and Structures China 2005, Wood and Building 2005, Building Interiors China 2005, and Expo Stone China 2005, and will provide a complete coverage of the building materials industry.
“Visitors can not only see the best-selling products with advanced technology, but also have a closer look at the latest innovations of 2005,” says a spokesman for the organiser.
The show has already elicited the response of the bigger global names in business that include American Standard, HCG, Roca, Toto, Cimi, Dong Peng, Schuco, Fischer, Rheinzink, Jansen and Verniciai.
“Many international exhibitors and pavilions, most notably from Germany, Italy and Turkey, have announced their presence,” says the spokesman. “BolognaFiere from Italy, and co-organiser of Expo Build China, have brought together an increasing number of overseas exhibitors and professional buyers to Expo Build China,” he says.
Expo Build China has always received positive feedback from exhibitors for the excellent visitor profile.
This time the organiser has selected an updated database of over 700,000 professional visitors ranging from domestic and overseas building materials distributors, real estate developers, builders, construction design departments and institutes, building material markets, hotels and government offices.
As the extensive venue, Macalline will not only organise a large number of brands to participate in the show, but also give a strong support on media exposure.
Hotelex Shanghai 2005, to be held concurrently with the Expo Build China 2005, is one of the largest hospitality equipment exhibitions in Asia.
More than 30,000 visitors from all over the world pour into SNIEC for the expo every year, most of them being decision-makers.
From 2005 onwards, the two exhibitions will share their visitors and for the building materials industry, the expo will act as a new gateway to the hotel decoration market. The exhibition will feature a series of seminars and events.
