The World Trade Centre Hotel on Shaikh Zayed Road has been brought down by demolition experts to make way for a new development.
The site of the well-known, 27-year-old building will be occupied by a luxury residential development, the World Trade Centre Residence, due for completion in December 2007.
The World Trade Centre Residence promises a combination of the ultimate home environment with levels of five-star luxury and service associated with the best hotels.

Turner Construction-International has been selected as project and construction manager for the project, which will consists of 377 apartments in two towers – 40 and 30 storeys tall, respectively – complete with below-grade car parking and hard and soft landscaping.
Scheduled for completion in December 2007, the development will be managed by Jumeirah International of Dubai and will be designed by Jung Brannen of Boston, Massachussetts.
