Installux Gulf which has established itself as a leader in the market of aluminum systems and particularly doors, windows and façade systems, is now focusing on its aluminium demountable office partitions Tiasco.
“With the ever-increasing number of office buildings being designed and built, architects and engineers in the region are demanding and increasingly appreciating partition systems that are highly flexible, environmentally friendly, easy to assemble, economical, have sleek designs and perform better than the traditional systems in terms of acoustical insulation, shock absorption, electrical wire solutions,” says Basim Al Saie, general manager of the Bahrain-based Installux Gulf, the regional office of the French aluminium systems manufacturer.
“In addition, the systems should be easy to remove, causing minimal damage to the existing finishes, be reliable and be tested according to the highest of international standards. This is where Tiaso comes into its own,” he points out. “Since its establishment in 1965, Tiaso has been a pioneer in offering the first 100 per cent aluminium removable structural partition, and has since worked closely with architects and designers to come up with solutions suitable to all tastes and interior designs.”
Offering a wide variety of module choices, the system offers designers the option of full-height solid, full-height glazing or a combination of both modules. The designer can also choose between wooden, frameless or aluminum doors.
Al Saie continues: “Having a very simple design, Tiaso makes it easy for businesses to quickly dismantle or interchange each module without damaging the adjacent unit. This feature allows the partition to evolve with the emerging requirements of growing and changing operations of the organisation.”
Tiaso partitions continue to evolve and grow with the release of new systems that feature the benefits of the old systems while offering better acoustical insulation and more options of modules and special facilities such as the ability to include signage and recessed joints in between panels. The recessed joints give the same effect as a structurally glazed curtain wall and allow the partition to blend perfectly with the exterior finish of a structurally glazed curtain-wall building.
“Tiaso systems, which are extruded locally in the GCC but with accessories coming from France, are considered to be economical among competitor systems of the same class,” he comments.
Tiaso’s local fabricating and distributing partner Bafco has already secured a number of projects for the system in the UAE, where the first partitions were installed at the Emirates New Engineering Centre in Dubai Airport, SMS Steel, Transfield, New Zealand Technologies, First Gulf Bank in Dubai and the Securitys and Commodities project in Abu Dhabi.
“Tiaso is now looking forward to establishing itself in other markets through making contacts with false ceiling contractors, office furniture suppliers and subcontractors where partitions complementary their main field of work. Tiaso is also offering these subcontractors technical and commercial assistance especially through the use of a special software which, in addition to price estimations, provides them with detailed plans and elevations, making it easy for them to prepare proper presentations and submittals to their designers and clients,” he concludes.
