Arma Plus helps speed up projects

French rebar software specialist Arma Plus says that its recently launched client-end software Arma+ Rebar Client offers enormous savings to fabricators and contractors both in terms of time and money.

Arma Plus, a technology leader in integrated software solutions for the concrete reinforcing industry, says that its new client-end software – Arma+ Rebar Client – has been well received in the region.

The software made its Middle East debut at last year’s Big 5 show.
According to a spokesman for the French manufacturer, the new software will revolutionise the workings within the construction industry, allowing construction companies to achieve faster deliveries through optimising bar bending schedules and ‘call off’ management.
The software, has already been installed by Al Naboodah Laing’s at the Old Town Commercial project, part of the Burj Dubai development, allowing the construction company to achieve faster ‘call off’between the site and the Al Naboodah Laing's rebar factory, he says.
“The fact that Al Naboodah has used the software from us even before we officially launched it indicates the faith the company has in our system,” he adds.
The new system, which follows in the long line of Arma Plus’ solutions for the construction and the rebar industry brings several innovations alongside. “The main function of the software is to simplify and optimise bar bending schedules and call off management, by functioning as a truly constructive link between the engineering and the design department, and also between the reinforcing factory and the construction site.
“Simply put, the software that resides on the client side of the network establishes a seamless connection with the Arma+ 2004 that resides on the server side of the rebar factory, achieving a solid, reliable, and powerful link that is fast and safe at all levels,” he says.
One of the main advantages of the software, which can also be loaded on the new PC tablet, is that it considerably reduces human intervention and thereby the mistakes that are likely to creep into high value projects, he explains.
Speaking about the company’s plans for the region the spokesman says: “Our dedicated Dubai office, which was set up a couple of weeks after Big 5 in 2004 reveals how impressed the company has been by the response it has been receiving at the exhibition.
“The decision to open an office in Dubai was strategic and based on the significant increase in demand of our services. In the recent past, there has been an alarming rise in the number of projects in the Middle East, and the main reinforcing companies are more than willing to implement IT solutions to ease their steel management.
“For the last two decades, we have built up comprehensive experience and understanding of the needs of our customers through the design and development of the A+ solutions, and our presence will definitely help the implementation of the latest technologies to the reinforcing industry in the Middle East,” he says.
Currently plans are under way to expand the Dubai facility with a bigger office manned by qualified technicians, who would be able to offer maintenance and installation services to the growing number of Arma Plus’ clients in the region and beyond. The office will also support Arma-Plus’ clients in the Middle East by providing high-quality technical support, training and consulting services, as well as the company’s business expansion plans, says the spokesman.
“In the recent past, there has been an exponential rise in the number of projects in the Middle East, and the main reinforcing companies are more than willing to implement IT solutions to ease their steel management.
“For the last two decades, we have built up comprehensive experience and understanding of the needs of our customers through the design and development of the A+ solutions, and our presence will definitely help the implementation of the latest technologies to the reinforcing industry in the Middle East,” he concludes.
