Hardware and tools to the fore

01 April 2007

Hardware + Tools Middle East 2007 is all set for its biggest showing ever, when it opens its doors next month in Dubai, UAE.

To this end, organiser Messe Frankfurt Middle East has formed an advisory board for the show, which will be held from May 13 to 15 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“It is imperative that we create a platform for dialogue with industry leaders and provide a new direction for growth incorporating the woodworking and MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) sectors and promote more hydraulic, power and handheld tools,” says exhibition manager Melanie Beese.
The advisory board meeting was attended by senior officials from Messe Frankfurt as well as industry officials such as Michel Ghaoui from Bosch, Robert Vos from Milwaukee, Edward Soliman from the UAE Contractor’s Association, Hani Arwani from Arwani Trading, Suresh Srinivasan from Dewalt and S Kumaran from 3M.
Hardware + Tools 2006 registered a 30 per cent increase in participants from the previous year, and the 2007 exhibition looks set to be even bigger.
This year’s event will run in conjunction with five other shows: ISH Kitchen and Bath, Light Middle East, Hometech Middle East, Design Lifestyle and Garden and Landscaping Middle East. More than 18,000 visitors are expected to visit the six shows combined, making it the leading event of its kind in the region.
