This year, the products on display will include a wide product portfolio of machines and equipment for earthmoving, raw material processing, for quarries and mines, concrete packaging and installation and for road and railway construction, drilling, pile-driving and consolidation, bituminous conglomerate production; as well as tower and mobile cranes and equipment for hoisting in the building industry among others, he adds.
The show will also foster several innovative activities that will include Samoter specials, press days, seminars and round tables, with the aim of bringing markets and companies of the construction and building sectors closer together.
He adds: “Samoter specials is dedicated to individual trade sectors such as earthmoving, concrete, roadbuilding, drilling, crushing, hoisting, vehicles and components. Every single sector is specifically differentiated in graphic terms to help visitors and exhibitors identify their points of interest, with all eight sectors identified by graphic symbols and colours to facilitate recognition. Theme days dedicated to every sector will join theme-related itineraries through dynamic events, seminars and conventions.”
In addition, the show will also include an impressive calendar of seminars and meetings that will tackle topics of major current interest – such as safety in building sites, tunnels, underground works and problems affecting the production systems in the concrete value chain.
“Security in building sites” is the main theme of three round table conferences held in Bari in May this year, Rome in November this year and to be staged during Samoter 2008.
The event will also highlight communication through the press days dedicated to Italian and international journalists with an exhibition centre offering them the chance to see vehicles and machinery in action in the specific demonstration area.
Veronafiere has also confirmed the next two editions of Samoter, which will be held in March 2011 and 2014.
