Jeddah is to be transformed into a massive development site under a number of projects which are estimated to cost at least SR20 billion ($5.3 billion), according to news reports.






The A1 Qassim first international building and construction exhibition is scheduled to open at the hall of the A1 Qassim International Exhibition Company next month (December 7-11).






The Riyadh-based Andal Group, a leading Saudi contractor in the field of waterproofing, thermal insulation, concrete repairs and industrial coatings, was recently appointed as an agent for the UK's Conren International, which manufactures Rooftex liquid-applied waterproofing system.






Saudi Arabia's leading property developer, Rikaz, has unveiled plans for a new shopping complex, to come up at Jeddah, in the Spring. Once complete, the mixed-use project is expected to redefine the shopping experience in the city.






Jeddah airport to get $1.5bn faceliftJeddah: Construction work on a project to expand and upgrade King Abdul Aziz International Airport (KAAIA) in Jeddah is slated to start in the second quarter of 2004 and be completed by 2010.
