Kurt Faustig, famous for producing the largest chandelier in the world, will be displaying its new classical chandeliers at the upcoming Lightstyle Gulf Light, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 15 to 17.

Ten Schwing concrete pumps – eight S 42 SX and two KVM 52 – worked a record 33 hours for a 10,000 cu m raft slab at the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) completing one of the largest single continuous concrete pours in the UAE. A total of 14 raft foundations were undertaken by Ready Mix Beton during the months of June, July and August last year.






Duravit, a leading German sanitary ceramics manufacturer, hopes to strengthen its presence in Middle East markets with the recent launch of the Starck X bathroom range. Designer Philippe Starck has teamed up with Duravit to introduce the new products.






A European joint venture between two of the world’s leading companies – US-based General Electric and German manufacturer Bayer – GE Bayer Silicones (part of GE‘s Advanced Material business) has recently introduced a range of sealants and adhesives that is expected to revolutionise the construction glazing industry in the region.






German construction equipment specialist Putzmeister will soon be a part of yet another record-breaking team as its range of concrete pumps will work on the Burj Dubai – which at over 600 m (the exact height is not yet fixed) is slated to be the tallest tower in the world.
