PASCHAL’S circular formwork solutions will take centre stage when the German formwork ace makes its debut at this year’s Saudi Build. Also in the limelight will be its Modular/GE formwork, Logo.3 wall formwork and Grip adjustable column formwork.
Designated as the TTR and TTS trapezoidal girder system, the adjustable circular formwork with a shuttering skin made of plywood or steel is the most sophisticated system for circular structures such as sewage plants, tank constructions, towers, stairwells, garage entrances, and walls for gardening and landscaping, according to Alain Hoeher, Paschal’s Saudi-based sales engineer.
Paschal Werk G Maier is the pioneer in manufacturing circular formworks with adjustable radius. Since Paschal trapezoidal girder formwork was launched in 1975, the company’s engineers have worked together with experts from building sites at ongoing developments.
This product is acknowledged to be the top product among all circular formwork systems with adjustable radii all over the world, according to Amir Delghandi, general director of Bahrain-based Paschal Concrete Forms, the regional office for Paschal.
Other products promoted will be the universal Modular/GE formwork for foundations, walls, columns, beams, slabs, shafts, round walls (polygon), walls for gardening and landscaping and precast parts. This formwork system has been in use in the GCC countries for the past two decades and Paschal Concrete Forms holds a large stock of it in the region.
The wall formwork Logo.3 is a large-size system used in residential and commercial buildings, industrial construction, civil engineering works and tank construction. Its multifunctional cross-sections enable fast fixing of accessories and profiled flat steel frames guarantee stability and long life.
The Logo wall formwork is available in a comprehensive panel assortment, which allows it to be used flexibly, whatever the ground plan of the building. From large-sized panels ranging from 2.4 m in width right down to narrow plastic filler pieces, this product reflects the principle practised by Paschal of offering a system that caters to all types of formwork activities. This avoids the need for expensive additional site work and minimises construction times whether a large-area formwork construction is required or a smaller-scale complex ground plan is to be followed, he says.
Grip is an adjustable column formwork with outstanding forming times for high fair-faced concrete quality. It is offered in variable widths ranging from 20 to 60 cm, in 5 cm steps and can handle a maximum concrete pressure of 80 kN/sq m as per DIN 18218.
Paschal develops, produces and distributes concrete formwork systems, accessories as well as formwork application software to more than 60 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America.
It recently launched a €1 million ($1.4 million) welding and production facility where many tasks, including the precision welding required for modern formwork systems such as the Logo.3 or special formwork, can now be carried out efficiently.
Research and development has helped the company achieve major advancements in technology. “Paschal is the first formwork manufacturer in the world to ‘personalise’ formwork elements,” says Delghandi.
This world-first innovation involves transponder technology that gives every tagged formwork element an electronic identifier, says the company.
“This is similar to the human fingerprint, ensuring accuracy and a unique identification,” he says.
Paschal’s research and development department is the first formwork specialist worldwide to successfully integrate RFID (radio frequency identification) technology into formwork elements, he adds.
The advantages are many: installation of this technology ensures distinct product quality, which becomes self-evident for both seller and purchaser. The purchaser has complete knowledge of the origin of the goods and their history. This presents new possibilities to evaluate and administrate formwork elements.
Manned by 365 employees Paschal Werk G Maier was established in 1964 in Germany and is headquartered in Steinach/Baden.
Its production facilities are located in Germany, Ukraine, Bahrain and Uzbekistan. In the Gulf, it has offices in Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The regional office in Bahrain was set up in January 1998 and over the past decade has helped Paschal emerge as a leading supplier of modern formwork solutions to the region’s contractors.
Paschal’s product line also includes: special formwork solutions together with a related range of accessories, Athlete modern large-size formwork systems, special applications such as climbing and single-sided formwork and systems for supporting filigree or in-situ slabs.
Paschal offers a competent service and complete solutions that are user-friendly for concrete construction sites. The company aims to lead through quality and service.
“Our consistency in quality is reflected in the DIN EN ISO 9001 certification. In addition, Paschal service professionals are ready to act as consultants and find optimum solutions for particular applications. Also, continuous staff training ensures that high standards are maintained year after year,” Delghandi concludes.
Paschal will be present at Stand F210 at Saudi Build.
