ALDES Middle East (ME), a leading global solutions provider for fire protection, ventilation and air distribution, said its redesigned pressure independent (PI) VAV (variable air volume) boxes have received certifications for quality and performance.
The company claims to be the only manufacturer to receive the Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) certifications for both the standard and the extended length PI VAV versions.
The AHRI certification is a voluntary programme that tests and certifies the performance of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) and water heating equipment. The company’s PI VAV boxes were redesigned in order to meet the stringent requirements and standards set by the AHRI, according to senior Aldes executives.
Products that are certified through the AHRI product performance certification programme are continuously tested by an independent third-party laboratory, at the direction and contracted by AHRI, to determine products conform to standards or specifications.
“The AHRI certifications that we have received for our PI VAV boxes reflect their world-class standards,” said Gaetan Pierrefeu, managing director, Aldes ME. “Our technical know-how of the HVAC industry combined with our products’ compliance with internationally recognised standards like the AHRI, UL (Underwriters Laboratories), Amca (Air Movement and Control Association) and CE, makes our products very reliable.”
PI VAV boxes are available in 10 different inlet sizes starting from four to 16 inches. A specially designed airflow sensor, installed at the inlet of the VAV box, provides highly accurate measurements.
