Installux launches new system

An innovative four-sided structural glazing curtain-walling system from Installux Systems of France is making its regional debut at the Dubai Police headquarters project.
“The product has all the features of a conventional four-sided structural glazing system with concealed openable panels yet the internal aluminium structure is much slimmer,” says Bassim Al Saie, general manager of Installux Gulf, the Bahrain-based regional office of the French aluminium systems manufacturer.
Also being installed at the development will be 150 to 200 mm sun louvers.
The six-storey headquarters building, which is scheduled for completion in January 2005, involves 20,000 sq m of curtain walling and casement windows.
The product will also be used for a project in Kuwait through its partners in Kuwait, Ahli Aluminium, and is likely to be featured on a development in Qatar as well, says Al Saie.
