KEO International Consultants has bagged the MIPIM Architectural Review commendation for its masterplan for the South of Shamkha project in Abu Dhabi.
The project won the coveted award under the ‘Regeneration and Master Planning’ category.
The MIPIM Real Estate Conference and Exhibition, which is held each March, was attended by over 30,000 international visitors. It serves as a quality showcase for hundreds of new real estate development projects from over 80 countries, says a spokesman for the organiser.
“This honour means a lot to the firm and to me personally as it exemplifies our incredible global growth story,” said Paul DeVylder, KEO vice president (international), and master planner of the project. “South of Shamkha is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, which involved planning a completely new city for a municipality for 10,000 resident families.”
