Elenex sheds light on big projects

01 May 2010

SAUDI Elenex 2010, the 13th international electrical engineering, power generation and distribution exhibition, aims to complement the increasing number of power infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia.

The expo, which takes place this month (May 24 to 27) at the Riyadh Exhibition Centre, will provide a platform to promote the latest technologies, products and services from leading international suppliers and technology vendors.
The exhibition aims to cater to more than 4,000 high-profile projects in Saudi with a complete range of electrical technology, products and services.
It comes at a time when the kingdom’s electricity generation capacity is expected to increase by an estimated 79.4 per cent between 2009 and 2019, while total investment is forecast to reach $80 billion for both electricity generation and distribution, according to the new Saudi Arabia Power Report by BMI (Business Monitor International).
Khaled Daou, project manager of Saudi Elenex at Riyadh Exhibitions Company, said: “The expo will provide a  highly accessible platform for local, regional and global investors to facilitate multi-billion-dollar projects and discuss long-term deals in Saudi Arabia.”
The show will be held alongside Saudi Luminex 2010, the international lighting equipment show, Saudi Aircon 2010, the international exhibition on air-conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration, and Saudi Water Technology 2010, the international exhibition for water technology, desalination plants and accessories show.
