BAUMA 2010 marked a turnaround for the international construction machinery industry, registering a record number of exhibitors despite a temporary ban on air travel in Europe impacting the expo initially.

Although the travel ban due to volcanic ash clouds prevented around 50 overseas exhibitors from attending the world’s largest construction equipment show, sentiment among the 3,150 exhibitors from 53 countries was optimistic at the close of the fair. Held at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany, the expo featured a bigger exhibition space of 555,000 sq m and 415,000 visitors from more than 200 countries. This year’s bauma presented a wealth of innovations and featured 44 lectures and events, which also included ‘country specials’ at the bauma forum.
The next event will take place from April 15 to 21, 2013.
