Residential projects key
THE Riyadh Exhibition for Real Estate and Architecture Development (Restatex) 2010 will showcase key residential projects when it opens at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this month (May 9 to 12).
One of the key exhibitors will be Injaz Development Company, a leading real estate development, investment, marketing, and services firm that will display its comprehensive property portfolio and discuss expansion plans during the event.
“Around 250,000 homes need to be built each year within the next five years to keep pace with demand, so residential property will continue to be a key segment for local industry,” said Omar Al Kadi, president and managing director, Injaz Development Company.
MCE closes on high note
INNOVATION in energy and cost efficiency was the driving force behind the 37th MCE 2010 (Mostra Convegno Expocomfort), which closed on a high note in Milan, Italy, last month. More than 2,300 exhibiting companies took part in the event, which attracted a record 157,447 visitors.
Buildex focuses on Mideast boom
MAJOR business and investment opportunities within the region’s construction and real estate markets will be showcased in Damascus, Syria during Buildex 2010 this month (May 12 to 16). To be held at the Damascus International Fairgrounds, the 16th international exhibition for construction will highlight an expected boom in Syria’s construction industry. Organiser Arabian Group for Exhibitions & Conferences has boosted exhibition space to more than 150,000 sq m, in anticipation of a 10 per cent rise in exhibitor numbers, which hit 636 last year.
RAK displays slim tiles
RAK Ceramics, the world’s largest ceramics manufacturer, displayed its new range of eco-friendly Slim tiles which are just 4.5 mm thick, its new Stone Art collections featuring Kerajet technology and Orion collections featuring Chroma technology, at Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2010, the international real estate investment and development event held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre last month.
RAK Ceramics’ joint venture Kludi RAK also showcased its range of faucets that allows users to save up to 50 per cent on water consumption.
SBIE a major success
MORE than 500 companies from 20 countries participated in the four-day Saudi Building and Interiors Exhibition (SBIE) held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last month. Overseas exhibitors from countries including Canada, China and the US took part in the show.
