MORE than 150 companies will take part in the Saudi Building Industries Exhibition (sbie) to be held this month (April 25 to 28) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Held under the patronage of the Saudi Ministry of the Municipal and Rural Affairs exhibition and now into its 20th year, sbie will be held at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events and is expected to attract decision-makers in the kingdom.
sbie’s overseas exhibitors include 70 companies from China, Turkey, Malaysia, France, Germany, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran and the UAE. “The largest international contingent is from China (40 exhibitors), followed by Turkey (20),” says a spokesman for Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions (ACE), the exhibition’s organiser.

The exhibition will provide a comprehensive platform for manufacturers and suppliers, whether they are new to the market, launching their latest products or looking to increase brand awareness.
A high-profile symposium featuring renowned international speakers and Saudi Arabian experts in the field will be held alongside the exhibition and will address topical issues and future challenges.
sbie is said to provide an ideal platform for companies looking to penetrate the market in Saudi Arabia, which is powering its economy with a $400-billion infrastructure programme that includes new cities, airports, schools and hospitals, a rail link and housing projects. Some of the key construction projects include five mega cities across the kingdom, 140 shopping malls and 86 new hospitals.
The exhibition profile includes building materials and hardware, climate control, construction equipment and tools, electricity and lighting, environmental conservation, marble, granite and stone technology, safety, security and fire prevention, water technology and waste management.
The purpose-built Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events, developed and owned by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, is a modern exhibition complex that is conveniently located near Jeddah’s main business centre, banks, government offices, shopping malls and major hotels.
