THE gulfBID and gulfINTERIORS exhibitions, which were due to be held in Bahrain this month (April 26 to 28), have been postponed due to the current situation in the kingdom.
The exhibitions, the leading B2B shows for the Northern Gulf construction and interiors industries respectively, will be rescheduled once a suitable compromise date has been reached between organisers Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE) and exhibitors.
HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman said: “The decision to postpone our flagship trade shows was taken in the best interests of all exhibitors and visitors. While the situation in Bahrain is improving every day and poses no direct threat whatsoever to exhibitors and visitors, we felt it would be inappropriate to hold gulfBID and gulfINTERIORS at this time.”
He added that company now plans to canvass the opinion of all exhibitors regarding a new date, and “we look forward to welcoming them and all visitors back to Bahrain as soon as practical, building on the stunning success of last year’s gulfBID and gulfINTERIORS exhibitions. New dates will be announced in the media once all options have been considered,” he said.
