Bukamal renews focus on HSE sector

A RENEWED focus on health, safety and environment (HSE) with a particular emphasis on industry-specific solutions has helped Hassan Ebrahim Bukamal & Sons reach greater heights in the market while meeting clients’ particular requirements with state-of-the-art technology and eco-friendly products.

In line with this drive, the Bahrain-based firm will soon be opening a dedicated showroom to showcase its comprehensive offering for the HSE sector.

Popularly known by its trade name Bukamal, the company is a pioneer in the field of building and construction and offers far more than just products and services, by providing solutions that are innovative, cost-effective and viable, according to Fawzi Abdalla, general manager.

The company’s HSE division provides a wide range of international safety solutions covering personal protection equipment, fire-fighting equipment, environment protection and traffic management. Its services include hazard assessment, product consultancy, and after-market support, calibration and maintenance. The division has already undertaken projects for major industrial players and the government.

The company is also concentrating on other key sectors of its well-diversified portfolio of services for the building, mechanical and protection sector, namely home automation, low-voltage solutions for security and communications and services to major manufacturers.

Bukamal’s home/office automation division offers a wide selection of solutions, ranging from control of air-conditioning to lighting and surveillance to access control by using smart phones and hand-held mobile devices. “Home/office automation is an extension of the current usage of smart phones, iPads etc, to regulate and meet customer energy needs,” Abdalla explained.

The company’s security and communication business provides a comprehensive range of design, supply, and installation services with yearly maintenance contracts mainly for villas, residential buildings, towers, health sports and education facilities, and government projects for their requirements of CCTV cameras, fire alarms, access control, satellite television, intruder protection, public addressing and many more.

Manufacturing services at Bukamal are aimed at major industries and manufacturers in the kingdom, meeting their requirements for supplies, consumables and capital equipment. Bukamal is also associated with leading players in the oil and gas (both upstream and downstream), power, utilities and chemicals sectors.

In addition, Bukamal provides medical solutions that aim to introduce technologies that are still new to this part of the world.

Bukamal is the commercial name of the trading distribution and projects arm of the company, which also offers services in two other major business sectors, namely property and investments and facility management. It serves manufacturers, industries and ministries in the kingdom, meeting their various mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, HSE and low-voltage requirements.

Bukamal’s main focus is on B2B retail, wholesale, corporate and government (projects) for building, construction and safety. To serve the B2B retail sector, the company has two showrooms – one for Door Care, which deals in doors, door hardware and access solutions and the other for Toto, offering sanitary ware and bathroom solutions.
