BAHRAIN’S Information Affairs Authority (IAA) president Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa said the authority is planning to build a media city in the kingdom on the lines of such facilities in Dubai (UAE), Amman (Jordan), Cairo (Egypt) and Marrakesh (Morocco).

“The project will be able to take advantage of the kingdom’s strategic geographic location and cosmopolitan outlook that will attract global investors,” he said.

“The kingdom’s multi-billion worth infrastructure, favourable tax regulations, legislative and organisational setting will help attract companies operating in the media arena,” Sheikh Fawaz added.
