Pontoon deal awarded

TECHNOMARINE, a company specialising in the building and design of custom marina systems, has been awarded a contract by The Wave, Muscat in Oman to build the main pontoon for its 400-berth marina within the masterplanned planned development.
Technomarine will be responsible for delivering the design and vision for the marina, with Phase One expected to be completed by the end of this year. Phase One involves 113 berths, a 40-m fuel dock with high-flow diesel pumps, pumpout and yacht provisions, as well as VIP berthing for mega yachts. The marina’s development plan, which saw piling in the marina begin during September this year and installation of the first pontoon starting this month, will exceed and set new standards for Oman in marina design and hospitality.
“This exciting marina will be Oman’s flagship yachting destination and an ideal location for sailing enthusiasts,” said Matthew Bate, director of operations at Mourjan Marinas IGY, the appointed marina management company of Almouj Marina at The Wave.
