SPANCRETE Global Services (formerly Spancrete Machinery Corporation), a global leader in the precast/prestressed concrete industry, will be participating within the first ever US pavilion at The Big 5 Saudi this year to reach out to customers in the country and region.

The US pavilion, located within the Concrete Zone, includes companies like Manitowoc Crane, Voeller Mixers, Shuttlelift, Verti-crete, Wyco Tool and Rexcon.

“Spancrete is excited to offer the US pavilion at The Big 5 Saudi. These US-based companies offer real solutions for the fast growing construction market in the region. With Saudi Arabia being the largest growing country in the Gulf, we feel our high volume, durable production systems are an ideal fit,” says Terry Dittrich, the company’s international sales manager.

Spancrete manufactures high quality, reliable production systems for the supply of both 4 ft (1.2 m) and 8 ft (2.4 m)-wide Spancrete hollowcore products. Standard thickness range from 4 inches (10 cm) to 16 inches (40 cm) and with the same machine a producer can produce high quality insulated/non-insulated wall panels with a wide variety of exterior finishes.

Dittrich says the company can be counted for total turnkey solutions when it comes to building a precast manufacturing facility with a Spancrete production system. “Over the past 60 years, Spancrete has sold its machine systems worldwide and has a long history of producers in the Middle East, in Turkey, Egypt, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Each of the Spancrete factories in Egypt and Turkey has been successfully operating for over 15 years,” he says.

Spancrete continues to expand its market presence and is actively pursuing new producers around the world. Over a billion sq ft of Spancrete hollowcore has been produced throughout the world. It recently expanded its services in Saudi Arabia and announced Tarek Elawar as its country representative there.

“Tarek has extensive knowledge in the field of civil engineering with a strong emphasis on construction of precast concrete buildings, pre-engineered and structural steel buildings, construction/project management, business development, field engineering and inspection, quality assurance, technical support, specialised construction plus architectural building systems, waterproofing, energy saving systems, and products research and development,” says Dittrich.

Founded in 1946, Spancrete is recognised as both the industry pioneer and a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of precast, prestressed concrete products and solutions. The company is a member of the Spancrete Manufacturers’ Association, a worldwide organisation of professional Spancrete producers meets on a regular basis performing continual technical, operational and marketing research and development.

Spancrete can be visited at Stand 1F11 at the US pavilion.
