SPANCRETE Global Services, recognised worldwide as a leader in the precast/prestressed concrete industry, will be participating in the Middle East Concrete show, which runs alongside The Big 5 in Dubai, as part of the US pavilion.
The company manufactures high-quality, reliable Spancrete production systems for the supply of both 4 ft (1.2 m)- and 8 ft (2.4 m)-wide hollowcore products with standard thickness ranging from four inches (10 cm) to 16 inches (40 cm).
The systems allow manufacturers to produce high-quality insulated/non-insulated wall panels with a wide variety of exterior finishes with the same machine, says a company official.
Commenting on the company’s participation at The Big 5, Tarek Elawar, Spancrete country manager, Saudi Arabia, says: “Spancrete is excited to be part of the US pavilion at The Big 5. The pavilion offers visitors the opportunity to see the best of what the US has to offer. These US-based companies provide real solutions for the fast growing construction market in the region. Spancrete Global Services offers high-volume, durable production systems that are an ideal fit for the Gulf region.”
Over the past 60 years, Spancrete has sold its machine systems worldwide and has a long history of producers in the Middle East, including locations in Turkey, Egypt, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Each of Spancrete’s factories in Egypt and Turkey has been successfully operating for more than 20 years.

Among its newest producers is Beijing Construction Engineering Company (BCEC) in Saudi Arabia. Located in Jubail, the company recently commissioned a full-scale precast facility including formcast and a Spancrete GT-120 hollowcore production system. The GT-120 spans six casting lines capable of producing both floor/roof slabs and wall panels. The Spancrete products will be utilised for the construction of more than 1,000 villas for Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), under a contract recently awarded to BCEC.
“When you build a precast manufacturing facility with a Spancrete Production System, you can count on Spancrete to provide you with total turnkey solutions,” says Elawar.
Elawar – who will be present at the company’s stand at MEC – was recently appointed as Spancrete country manager for Saudi Arabia.
Founded in 1946, Spancrete is recognised as both an industry pioneer and a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of precast, prestressed concrete products and solutions. It also develops and distributes equipment that produces prestressed, precast concrete, worldwide.
Spancrete Global Services is a member of the Spancrete Manufacturers’ Association. This worldwide organisation of professional Spancrete producers meets on a regular basis performing continual technical, operational and marketing research and development. The group offers world-wide support. Spancrete continues to expand its market presence and is actively pursuing new producers around the world.
“Nothing is stronger, more durable or more versatile than the Spancrete brand,” concludes Elawar.
