PANELS made of environment-friendly synthetic fibre will be showcased by Belgium’s Interiors Cnocke when it debuts at this year’s Big 5 show in Dubai.
Developed jointly with compatriot finishing company Forest Avenue, the new concept synthetic fibre looks natural, is ultraviolet (UV)-resistant, and can be used to make various panels for diverse interior or exterior applications.
De Feyter Jozef-Marco, sales manager World Europe of Interiors Cnocke, says: “The fibre is a combination of innovation and ecology, and which goes hand in hand with the core business of Forest Avenue and Interiors Cnocke.”
The panels made from fibre come as standard or can be custom-made in different kinds of weaving styles – single or double weaving – and can be offered in different colours including wood, khaki, black, silver and white. In addition, the frames for the panels are available in different metal types including mill finish metal, galvanised (with or without RAL colours) metal, stainless steel, and aluminium (with or without RAL colours).
The panels can be fixed in the ground or mounted and used to provide sun and wind protection, in applications ranging from car ports, canopies, and boundary and garden walls to parapets and partitions.
“In addition, the fibre panels are washable, durable and 100 per cent recyclable,” he says.
Interiors Cnocke will also be presenting new frames for the construction of hotels and buildings at The Big 5, where it intends to seek sales export opportunities in the UAE.
“While we want to expand our production capacity and diversify into new areas, we are also looking to open a new office or showroom in the UAE and appoint a sales manager for the Emirates,” says Marco.
Interiors Cnocke specialises in the interior decor of apartments, houses or commercial premises. It also deals in various products used in interiors including designer radiator covers, stretch ceilings, and bamboo flooring for indoors and outdoors. For the latter, it works directly with the importers of bamboo boards, production of which is done in Belgium and tailored to the customer’s demand. It mainly works with full solid boards of 14 mm thickness, obtaining density of 1,180 kg per sq m.
The boards are said to be durable and ideal for both commercial and residential applications.
Interiors Cnocke, which employs 14 people and has a turnover of $2 million, has grown at a rate of more than 20 per cent this year compared to 2011. Its joint venture partner in the production of the synthetic fibre, Forest Avenue, has been pursuing its ambition of designing woven panels and walls with natural woven branches since 2006. Its efforts have paid off with numerous references showcasing its environment-friendly fences.
Apart from custom-made products, the company also creates metal frames (galvanised and coated), which feature woven branches, and furniture and garden accessories that aesthetically combine different types of wood.
Interiors Cnocke is also the authorised dealer of Forest Avenue, which will be at Hall One, Stand 1F34.
