HORMANN Middle East, a leading industrial, commercial and residential door manufacturer, will have one of the largest stands at The Big 5 this year with a range of innovative products that enhance security and energy efficiency.

The company will display the latest technology and designs in garage doors, entrance doors, internal doors, fire doors and smoke-tight door assemblies, industrial doors, loading technology, frames and windows at its 168-sq-m stand at the event.

Hormann Middle East’s managing director Darius Khanloo comments: “We are excited to participate at The Big 5 for the third consecutive year with one of the largest stands at the show. We will be showcasing many of our latest products at the show, especially new custom-made solutions for logistics companies and food and dairy producing companies.”

“Though we have seen more demand from the industrial and commercial sectors, we also have a strong focus on the residential market. We provide an array of options to match the architecture of any home. All our doors are equipped with a door operator that is virtually maintenance-free and provides the latest in engineering excellence,” Khanloo says.

Some of the innovative safety features that visitors can see at Hormann’s Big 5 stand include finger trap protection; Photocells that immediately detect people and objects and provide additional level of safety; BiSecur handheld transmitters with FM signals for opening automatic doors and gates; and lockable bottom profiles. Innovative products include wicket doors with trip-free thresholds that decrease the risk of people tripping and injuring themselves when passing through.

“With our extensive selection, everyone will easily find their dream door,” says Khanloo.

The company has also seen a remarkable demand in the region for its environment-friendly door solutions. Hormann ThermoPro steel doors improve thermal insulation by up to 30 per cent and come in a wide variety of styles and, while being relatively inexpensive, provide great energy efficiency as a result of their excellent thermal insulation, he says. Multi-point locking ensures high security as well to provide a perfect solution.

Ever since the company established a direct presence in the region in 2009, it has experienced a steady year-on-year growth. It now has a flagship showroom in Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai, UAE, a fully functional assembly plant and a warehouse in Dubai Investment Park. All Hormann fire-rated steel doors are approved by the UAE Civil Defence while the company is also in the process of obtaining approvals from the Civil Defence in Qatar and Oman.

Hormann is aiming to expand operations with a new branch office in Qatar. The company recently completed significant projects in the region for Al Merkaaz, Ceva, Khalifa Port, and Al Marai.

“We look forward to meeting our customers and potential clients at The Big 5 show, which offers fantastic networking opportunities for the building and construction sector in the region,” Khanloo adds.

The Hormann Group is an internationally-oriented, fast-growing company in the construction supplier industry. Doors, hinged doors, frames and operators are manufactured for the markets in Europe, North America and Asia at 16 highly-specialised factories. Employing more than 6,000 staff, this 100 per cent family-owned company has achieved over €1 billion ($1.312 billion) in sales.
