The ‘festival of creativity’ and ‘Interiors Shopper’ are just some new segments at the trio of expos – GC Expo, Gulf Property Show and Interiors – this year that will woo crowds.
01 April 2018
The trio of exhibitions dedicated to the construction, interiors and property sectors, which opens this month (April 24 to 26) in Bahrain, is expected to feature a showcase of innovative construction expertise, a festival of creativity, and the kingdom’s largest property and real estate event.
The exhibitions comprise the Gulf Construction Expo (GC Expo), the Interiors Expo and the Gulf Property Show, and will be held under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The shows continue the success of the only integrated B2B and B2C platforms for these sectors in the region. The three events have also partnered closely with the region’s leading construction magazine Gulf Construction to develop a greater focus on promoting the construction and building materials sectors.
“GC Expo will build on the successful foundations set by previous shows, by continuing to deliver the Northern Gulf’s showcase for the construction sector to a targeted visitor base of property developers, interior designers, architects, consultants and contractors, procurement managers and investors from around the GCC,” says Jubran Abdulrahman, managing director of Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE), the organiser of the events.
“The expo will remain an innovative showcase for the construction sector through its added value benefits and virtual exhibition,” he adds.
The event has drawn a large number of local, regional and international particants who will showcase their latest products. Among them will be innovative products such as the LGS Construction System, a green technology solutions which will be launched by Amna Insulations; OneGo, a high-performing formwork system from Doka for casting walls and floors in just one operation; and tri-colour pavers and granite pavers from Bahrain-based Protile Designer Pavings.
To date, about 20 Saudi building and construction firms are among the exhibitors that will be looking to take advantage of Gulf Construction Expo’s strategic branding platform. These include Espac, Rezayat Protective Coating, Plastbau Arabia, Fabco Plastic Factory, Bonar Natpet, Izomaks, Smart Wood Trading, Arabian Tile, Shade Technology (Steco), Resa-Gulf Scaffolding, Gulf Seal, Sehar Al Riyadh Trading and Contracting, Arabian Building Support & Rehabilitation (Absar) and Rafee Metal Industrial Factory.
These companies will be offering a diverse product range including steel pipes, waterproofing membranes, swimming pools, wooden awnings, geotextiles, steel doors, thermal insulation, renders and plasters.
This year, Kavalani and Sons and Haji Hassan Group are the Strategic Sponsors for GC Expo, and Al Nisr Aluminium and Amna Insulations are the Sector Sponsors. The show is supported by the Chartered Institute of Building and PHD Chambers India.
Gulf Property Show
Gulf Property Show 2018 is set to break records and be the largest property and real estate event to be hosted in Bahrain.
The Strategic Sponsors for the Gulf Property Show are Diyar Al Muharraq, Manara Developments, GFH Properties, Eagle Hills, and Metropolitan Holding. Al Maawdah Group is the Diamond Sponsor and First Bahrain Real Estate and Amfa Real Estate are the Gold Sponsors.
The Gulf Property Show will showcase the latest real estate and property developments in Bahrain including Al Bareh, Al Naseem, Deerat Al Oyoun, The Harbour Row and Marassi Al Bahrain.
The importance of the Gulf Property Show for the real estate in Bahrain is further emphasised by the attendance of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera) and the Urban Planning Authority.
Visitors will also be able to look at real estate investments in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, London and Manchester.
“The Gulf Property Show has grown year on year in size and prestige since its debut in 2014. This year’s record turnout is evidence from the real estate sector of the value of the show as a must-attend event,” says Abdulrahman.
For the Gulf Property Show, a dedicated property search engine is now online. The search feature aims to promote the real estate inventory of exhibitors, besides aiding exhibitors and visitors to buy property before the show.
The Property Search features properties and developments for sale such as Marassi Residences, The Address, Bahrain Marina, Residence Sharq, Durrat Al Bahrain and Burj Kadi.
“The aim of the Gulf Property Search engine and website is to help to generate leads prior to the show as well as for up to six months after the event,” says Abdulrahman.
Interiors
The Interiors expo will be a “festival for creativity”, says the organiser. The exhibition is supported by Hempel Paints and Bukokko Group (Italian company) as the Strategic Sponsors.
Hempel Paints will be setting the mood with its inspirational new coatings range, and debutant Bakokko will present its ornate Italian classic furnishings.
The festival of creativity will be enhanced by the curated art gallery by Bahrain Arts Society which will feature art, sculpture and installations from Bahrain’s leading artists, including Abbas Almosawi.
“We have over the years looked to position Interiors as the home for the creative talents of Bahrain and the GCC. This year we have broken new ground with the support of our sponsors and Bahrain Arts Society,” says Abdulrahman.
Making its debut this year at Interiors expo is a new segment, ‘Interiors Shopper’, which will provide bargains and deals. The introduction of the Interiors Shopper section will provide an innovative sale outlet in decor, furnishings and design for sale at discounted prices.
“Interiors Shopper is an outlet where luxury interiors products are sold on a special offer limited to visitors who visit the expo,” adds Abdulrahman
Interiors will see Bahrain’s home-grown talent, such as Fatima Al Ansari Design and Execution and Mobilia Uno showcase their offers and services. Meanwhile, debutant international companies include World Tricot of France, JK Cement from the UAE, and Tanatel Furniture Company from Saudi Arabia, to name a few.
