Resa Gulf Scaffolding (RGS), which offers total scaffolding services, says it is the wide acceptance of the Gulf Construction Expo that has attracted the firm to make its debut at the show this month.
At the event, the Saudi company will be showcasing its scaffolding products and services and hopes to win more customers in the region, says Engineer Waleed Mostafa Omar, deputy general manager.
Based in Dammam, the firm was set up in 2009 as a joint venture between Spain’s Resa Group and the local Gulf Consolidated Contractors to manufacture, rent out and sell scaffolding materials.
Resa Gulf Scaffolding is a Saudi Aramco-certified general bid slate (GBS) contractor for industrial mechanical maintenance services in Saudi Arabia. It is also an approved vendor for Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic).
Omar says business has improved over the past year and is growing and the company is now considering expansion of its footprint, adding there are plans to open branches in Bahrain and Jeddah.
RGS has supplied to some of the most challenging projects for prestigious clients in Saudi Arabia.
Some of its ongoing projects include provision of scaffolding services (installation and dismantling) for maintenance work at Sadara’s chemical complex worth SR40 million ($10.66 million); Sabic’s Safco seawater intake basin repairing project; Target’s SMC-069 SA project for Saudi Aramco; Saline Water Conversion Corporation’s (SWCC) Jubail plant worth SR1.5 million; and Eastern Cement plant’s preheater and maintenance project worth SR4 million.
RSG is also involved in new construction projects where it is lending scaffolding services (installation and dismantling) to Samsung for Sabic’s gas project in Jubail worth SR1.5 million; to Bin Quraya for Hadeed’s +903 project; and to Enco for Aramco’s Ajyal project.
Additionally, it is designing scaffolding for ARCC for the Safanyia Onshore Plant project; and for Star Saipem for Aramco’s Dammam Port Expansion Project.
In the past, it has offered scaffolding services to Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) for a project at King Abdullah Financial District; Daelim for the Sadara project; to SK E&C for Aramco’s Wasit gas plant project; and to Aramco’s North Ghawar Maintenance PJK project.
Resa Gulf Scaffolding will be exhibiting at Stand GC P15 at the Gulf Construction Expo.
