JK Cement to promote wall putty at show

01 April 2018

JK Cement Works (Fujairah), a key manufacturer of white cement, is making its debut at this year’s Interiors expo.

The company is a subsidiary of JK Cement Limited (JKCL), a leading producer of grey cement and white cement in India.

The white cement production plant in Fujairah, UAE, was set up with an investment of $150 million in September 2014, and is now supplying white clinker and white cement to more than 20 countries across the globe.

According to a company spokesman, JK Cement Works (Fujairah) became the second highest selling white cement brand in the GCC in just under four years after its started production.

He says the dual process plant has a capacity to produce 0.6 million tonnes per year (tpy) of white cement or one million tpy of grey cement.

“The plant is specially designed to switch from one product to another (from white to grey cement and vice-versa) as per market demand. This composite dual process cement plant is one of the first of its kind in the world. This capacity expansion has made JKCL the second largest white cement producer in the world,” the spokesman says.

At the expo, JK Cement Works will be showcasing its latest product, the JK wall putty, he says.

About the event the spokesman says: “We believe this show to be the largest (of its kind) in Bahrain and it offers us a big platform to meet key personnel in the construction industry and to showcase our products.”

Projects where JK Cement Works products has been supplied include the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi, and La Mer Dubai and Al Seef in Dubai, amongst others.

The company intends to cater to the white cement demand in the region as well as to the neighbouring countries including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, South Korea and Thailand and beyond.

JK Cement Works will be exhibiting at Stand IN A4B at the Interiors expo.
