Arabtec to design, build 682 villas

Arabtec Construction has won additional contracts from Emaar, a leading Dubai-based property developer, to design and build 682 villas at its Arabian Ranches project.

The letters of intent from Emaar covers the design and construction of 594 villas known as Palmera (District 7), to be completed in phases by June 30, 2007; and 88 villas known as Hattan (District 6A), to be completed by May 1, 2007.
The total value of the above two contracts amounts to Dh487 million ($132.6 million).
Arabtec Construction, owned by Arab Technical Construction, is currently constructing 1,210 villas for Emaar. The new orders bring the number to 1,892.
It is also building 560 villas for the Silicon Oasis along the Emirates Road. Arabtec has already completed and handed over to Emaar more than 2,400 villas in the last two years at Emirates Hills, Emirates Lakes, Meadows and Springs.
