LG, HG Ibrahim Shaker plan new Saudi facility

LG Electronics and its Saudi dealer HG Ibrahim Shaker Company are planning to take a 13-year-old partnership to greater heights with the opening of a new factory in Saudi Arabia next year.
The establishment of the new LG-Shaker AC factory at Riyadh in 2008, will help strengthen the market position of LG’s range of air-conditioners in Saudi Arabia, says a spokesman for HG Ibrahim Shaker Company.
The company also held a ceremony in Riyadh to mark the 13 years of successful partnership with LG, during which the company has sold more than two million air-conditioners in the kingdom.
“I am really proud that in addition to being the number one manufacturer of air-conditioning units in the world, LG Electronics has also sold more than two million accumulated air-conditioning units in the kingdom since the partnership started,” said H Y Nho, president of LG Air Conditioning Division.
“We at H G Ibrahim Shaker consider this achievement to be the biggest accomplishment by the company so far, and it has become possible to achieve such record sales only because of the consumers’ loyalty in the brand and the partnership we have been sharing with LG,” said Sheik Hassan Shaker, CEO of H G Ibrahim Shaker Company.
