Reynaers to widen reach at Windoorex

01 January 2013

Reynaers Aluminium, which has been registering a steady growth in the Egyptian market since it launched operations there two years ago, will be keenly looking at increasing product awareness and reaching a wider audience in the regional market when it participates at Windoorex exhibition in the Egyptian capital next month (February 21 to 23).

Following its successful participation last year, Reynaers will showcase its recently launched products at this year’s edition of the international exhibition on windows, doors, facades, skylights and curtain wall technology, which is set to take place at the Cairo International Convention Center (CICI), Cairo.

“This year, we intend to showcase our recently launched products CP 130 Pa/CP 130 Pa Ls sliding systems and the ES 45 Pa door and windows systems which have been well received not only in the Middle East but also in several markets across Asia,” said Ali Khalaf, managing director of Reynaers Middle East, the regional office of the leading global specialist in innovative and sustainable solutions for windows, doors, curtain-walling, sliding systems, sunscreen and conservatories.

Since launching operations in Egypt in 2010, Reynaers Aluminium has attained consistent growth in Egypt as well as other Middle East markets.

The Shahd El Kuwait office ... key commercial project.

“Egypt, which has the largest population in the Arab world, has always been an important market for Reynaers,” Khalaf said. “Reynaers has been strengthening its presence in this region to cater not only to the projects market but also the residential sector. The portfolio of projects executed by Reynaers has considerably increased over a span of two years.”

The Lebanon Street Tower and the City Capital office buildings are some of the projects in which Reynaers is currently involved.

Some of the initial projects undertaken by the company include the Cairo International Conference Hall 5, Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel extension and Suzan Mubarak Children’s Museum. Its state-of-the-art architectural aluminium systems solutions have been employed in diverse projects ranging from commercial buildings, healthcare and educational institutes. The Wadi El Nile Hospital, Al Farouk Hospital and Al Rahma Hospital are instances of key healthcare projects, while important commercial projects include the Uni-Sharm headquarters, Mercedes Benz showroom, Shahd El Kuwait office building, Centurion building and The Dove compound.

The Amer House, Shadi Hani, Ahmed El Wassif, Mohammed Farouq and Mohammed Masnour villas are among the notable residential projects undertaken by the company.

“A sustained growth over a period of two years despite the economic crises the country has faced in recent times has motivated us to operate on a full-fledged basis with a registered representative office and staff presence,” commented Wissam Yanni, Egypt’s area manager. “The new office, manned by top sales engineers, is fully functional and the plan is to reach out to the project and residential sectors more aggressively in terms of the geographic span and target audience. As a result, all those cities where construction activity is expected to boom will be covered,” said Yanni.

Although Reynaers’ entire product range is offered to the Egyptian market, there are certain systems such as CW 50 HL and CW 50 SC series of the curtain-wall systems which have gained popularity in the region. The eco system and CS 59 Pa series of doors and windows systems continue to be in great demand, while the CS 77 fireproof range of doors caters to the safety and security needs of various projects. Among the sliding systems, the CP 50 series has gained momentum and the latest offer of the CP 45-Pa sliding system has been well-received for its improved space utilisation, Khalaf said.

At Windoorex 2013, Reynaers will be promoting the new CP 130 Pa sliding and lift-and-slide elements, which give a wide variety of possibilities along with high-performance and enhanced burglar resistance, Khalaf explained. The system is not only functional, but also offers an economical and aesthetic solution with a slimline middle section. Among other products that will be showcased, the CP 130 Pa is based on the CS 68, and as such, further improves fabrication time, logistics and compatibility with the current product range. The fabrication and transportation are simplified further because all configurations are combined in one single design.

In addition to this, Khalaf said the ES 45 Pa will be in the limelight through a range of samples. Designed and developed in Europe, the ES 45 Pa is supported by a 10-year company guarantee. It can be utilised for both windows and doors, with an inward or outward opening based on the same frame and double casement profiles.

Both the outward and inward opening profiles have the same outer frame, and a glazing bead height of 22 mm which can be reused, making the ES 45 Pa economical.

“We at Reynaers constantly strive to provide our customers with the best products and service. It is for this reason that we will be offering the latest ES 45 Pa systems to the Egyptian market as we have felt it is a perfect fit, given its cost effectiveness and functionality features,” he added.

Both types have an optimised wall thickness with the inward system having a 7-mm gap in the window frame to make fabrication less tolerance sensitive.

“In 2013, we have plans to exhibit finished elements of some of our most popular series so customers and architects can appreciate the Reynaers product in its finished form,” said Khalaf, commenting on the samples that will be available at Windoorex.

Other products displayed will include the CW 50 curtain wall series, the latest concept folding sliding system – CF 77, the CS 59 Pa doors and windows systems, and Aluwood comprising of the RW 100 and RW 105 range.

Reynaers will be present at Stand B27 at the show.
