CONSTRUCTION industry experts gathered in Bahrain last month (April 17) at the Safety Design in Buildings conference to debate fire safety strategies, building codes and standards in light of the recent spate of serious fire accidents in the UAE and Gulf.

The conference brought testing experts together with fire consultants, façade designers and architects to tackle questions related to quality control, material supply and fire safety in high-rise buildings; and strategies to protect lives and assets.
