Egypt tenders huge metro depot

EGYPT’S National Authority for Tunnels was to put out a tender for a huge depot for the Cairo Metro before the end of last month, according to Ehaf Consulting Engineers, which has prepared the tender documents for the project.
The Kodssica Depot, which spreads over an area of 70,000 sq m, will serve the 45-km Greater Cairo Metro Line One and be one of the largest of its kind in the Middle East.
The tender covers the building and maintenance of the depot including civil, mechanical, electrical and rail work.
Ehaf Consulting Engineers is responsible for architectural, civil, mechanical and electrical designs for track works, overhead catenary, signalling and control design, sewage and water networks. Ehaf is also involved in the management, design, and supervision for Greater Cairo Metro lines Two and Three and is also working on the Doha Metro in Qatar.
