Polymer’s Hydrotex a major draw

01 January 2014

POLYMER Group (PGI), which put the spotlight on the products of its geosynthetics division, reported an “excellent response” from visitors at The Big 5 show.

“We have a large number of clients in the Gulf region and the show provided us with a good opportunity to see a lot of them at the same time,” said Andy Warwick, regional sales director of one of the world’s largest producers of nonwoven materials.

“The response to our show presence was excellent. Customers were particularly interested in our new Hydrotex product, which resolves an issue with fine clay substrate penetrating railway ballast, and in our grass and ground reinforcement solutions.

“We also supported a number of our local partners in their own promotions at the show.”

Products exhibited by the US-headquartered company included its extensive Terram range comprising geotextiles which prevent the intermixing of foundation layers while filtering liquids; geocomposite drains; geocell earth reinforcement solutions and erosion control; meshes which protect and provide a visual marking of underground pipes; and Terram BodPave for ground reinforcement and grass protection.
