3M, a global leader in innovation, was awarded the coveted Gaia Award for its VHBTM green building solution at The Big 5.

Nominated in the coatings, adhesives and sealants category at the Gaia awards, 3M’s VHBTM green building solution emerged as the clear winner owing to the tape fasteners’ convenience and simplicity, which make it suitable for use in many interior and exterior bonding applications.

In many situations, this can even replace rivets, spot welds, liquid adhesives and other permanent fasteners.

Eligible for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (Leed) credits, the 3M VHB tapes are made with acrylic foam which is viscoelastic in nature and thus gives it the foam energy absorption and stress relaxing properties that provides these tapes its unique characteristics.
