Contracts for another skyscraper at the massive 69-tower Jumeirah Lakes Towers freehold development in Dubai have been awarded by the investor, Mazyood Giga International, and work is expected to start shortly.
The tower, called Goldcrest Views, is Mazyood’s first venture into real estate, and the Jebel Ali-based firm has appointed WS Atkins as the architect and the JV of Al Habtoor Engineering and Murray and Roberts as the contractor on the project.
Goldcrest Views will offer apartments that are carefully designed to be ultra spacious, elegant yet functional, with high-quality finishes, the finest fittings and ‘Smart Home’ technology, says Haji Muhammad Rafiq, chairman of the Mazyood Giga International.
The rooftop will have a wide choice of leisure facilities around a pool deck that includes the main pool with Jacuzzi, a children’s pool, a juice bar, barbeque areas, sun decks and lounging areas, all with dramatic views of the lakeside. Also overlooking the lake below the deck is the health club that has a large fitness centre
The tower will offer apartments on a freehold basis to residents, non-residents and corporations, without any income or property-related taxes.
Buyers will be assisted in obtaining mortgage finance from lenders in the UAE at competitive terms. Up to 70 per financing will be available from financial institutions and registered owners will be entitled to residence visas.
Dubai’s mega property developer Nakheel is the overall developer of the Jumeirah Lake Towers, which is fast rising up off Sheikh Zayed Road over an area of 1.3 million sq ft.
The project consists of 69 towers in clusters of three, with a 55-storey hotel forming its centrepiece. The development, which will have offices, retails outlets, residences and a gold and diamond centre, is set amidst picturesque artifical lakes and lush landscaping.
Nakheel has, meanwhile has appointed Wade Adams Contracting to carry out infrastructure works on the project.
The work, which is expected to be completed in 18 months, involves the construction of the infrastructure works, including grading works, retaining structures, road paving, portable water, sanitary systems, drainage system, lake landscaping and fire and irrigation works.
“A project of this magnitude requires the expertise of global players with proven credentials. It is an unparalleled project, dominated by a lake that extends to over one million sq m,” said Sultan bin Sulayem, chairman of Nakheel.
