Energy Management Services (EMS), a leading energy management and energy conservation company in the Middle East, has signed a deal with Riviera Tower, to install and maintain advanced building management solutions (BMS) for a period of four years.






Al Mashriq Furniture, a leading furniture company in the UAE dealing in the manufacture of chairs, has announced a major expansion plan in the Dubai Investment Park. With the addition of the new development, the company’s total investment in the Park will reach Dh38 million ($10.34 million).

Dubai-based Hepworth PME has announced its transition to lead-free uPVC material for potable water pipe production. Hepworth is the region’s foremost manufacturer of BS Kitemark plastic pipes and fittings and has been awarded an extension to its existing BS Kitemark licence in respect of lead-free UPVC production, said a company spokesman.

The first occupants of the Ewan Residences project in Dubai are due to move into their apartments by April 2005. The first phase of the three-phase Ewan project, which consists of 26 residential complexes was launched this March, and the 26th residential complex was sold out in mid-May making it a complete sellout.






Nakheel, the Middle East’s leading property developer, has contracted SembCorp Engineering and Constructors to build 160 Oasis themed villas at its iconic project, the Jumeirah Islands, being developed between Interchange 5 and 6 on Sheikh Zayed Road.






The developers of the proposed Atlantis, The Palm Dubai have decided to increase to scope of the development to include a second 800-room hotel tower, bringing the total number of rooms to 2,000. The development costs are expected to increase from the previously announced $650 million to $1.1 billion.
