KBCC picks Norr as lead architect

Kuwait Building Construction Company (KBCC) has named Norr Group Consultants International as the lead architect on a proposed multi-use real estate development in the emirate.
The 1.6-million-sq ft development will overlook the Fifth Ring road in the Al Rai area. The designs are expected to be completed in a year. The construction works will be carried out in phases over three years. Norr's local partner on the project is Al-Jazeera Consultants.
Zachariades wins $9m contract
Manama: G P Zachariades has won a BD3.45 million ($9.15 million) contract to build a new 10-storey office block in Bahrain's Seef District.
Work has already begun and is due to be completed by January 2004. The client, Bahrain National Holding (BNH), will eventually transfer its whole operation to the new building.
The architect and consultant is Mohamed Salahuddin Consulting and Engineering Bureau while the client's representative and quality surveyor is Davis Langdon Arabian Gulf.
