The earthwork for Legends of Arabia, the first of the three theme parks, within the Legends in Dubailand, has been kicked off.
The beginning of work closely follows the opening of a state-of-the-art on-site headquarters of the Legends Development Company (LDC). The move is considered a major step forward in the development of the Dh14 billion ($3.81 billion) integrated theme park project. The Legends headquarters has a built-up area of 87,000 sq ft.
Three world-class, climate-controlled theme parks will be central to the Legends project spread across 24.7 million sq ft. “Legends of Arabia, the first component to be operational by 2008, will offer an immersive experience to visitors blending fantasy and fables of yesteryear with superior technological brilliance,” said the spokesman.
The two other theme parks – Legends of Nature and Legends of World – draw inspiration from the magical and magnificent places on the planet and also the natural wonders.
