TURKEY-based Goçmaksan Mach-inery Company will showcase its highly successful light construction equipment series at The Big 5, which is the recent addition to its widening product line.

The company, which specialises in rebar cutting and bending machines and various hand tools, has diversified in the past two years to add light construction equipment such as power trowels, compactors, vibrators, rollers and masters to its range of products.

“Though we are new to the light construction equipment sector, we have received encouraging response from the market for these products,” says Tugba Gocmen, the company’s export manager.

Currently, the company is also involved in the manufacture of straightening machines for construction steel, which according to her, straightens lengths of 58 m in a record one minute.

Some of the other products that will be on display at The Big 5 include power trowels, compactors, vibrators, rollers, master with rebar cutting and bending machines.

Backed by a strong research and development (R&D) team, the pioneer in Turkey’s construction sector has been continuously producing new designs, resulting in more than 40 varieties of construction steel bending and cutting machines rolling off the assembly lines of its factories. Its facilities can handle construction steel ranging from 6 mm to 60 mm in width/diameter.

Goçmaksan has also developed solutions to fill gaps in the bending market by manufacturing machine control systems and reducers – an effort which has successfully earned it the Beneficial Model and Industrial Design Registration Certificate from the Turkish Patent Institute.

“Goçmaksan is aiming to become a world leader in the production of construction steel cutting and bending machines. It conforms to ISO9001:2000 quality system, TSEK, GOST_R , CE, Ukr SEPRO certifications and 93/37/AT machine security regulations,” says Gocmen.

The company has been participating at The Big 5 since 2006 and considers the expo a suitable platform to promote its products and an opportunity to meet with most of its dealers.

Goçmaksan is especially upbeat over improving economic prospects this year with its growing domestic market providing robust opportunities for business. In line with these developments, the company has opened a service branch in Istanbul. “We’re also considering exploring the Qatar market, which holds great potential for our products,” says Gocmen.

About 150 employees work for Goçmaksan, which was established in 1960.

Goçmaksan will be present at Hall 7 A312.
