Holding the aces

01 November 2010

IDROBASE Group of Italy makes it debut at The Big 5 on the heels of recording its best turnover ever in its 24-year history.

At the show, the group will showcase its “four aces” – which comprise group companies Idrobase, Club dei Riparatori, Perfect Cool and Idrotech – each providing niche products based on water pressure technology.

Idrobase will its line of innovative high-pressure washer including the recently launched Rondine, which is described as the smallest professional hot water high-pressure washer of its kind.

Club dei Riparatori, meanwhile, will highlight a range of more than 10,000 different accessories and universal spare parts for high-pressure washers, with its new ‘comfort line’ that caters to the carwash industry.

Perfect Cool, targeting domestic and professional applications, will present its line of èSoffio  portable cooling systems which are said to represent “a new age of air-conditioning”.

However, the star at Idrobase’s stand will be Idrotech’s fogging systems which represent the most advanced equipment for dust suppression and temperature reduction among other applications, according to group marketing manager Bruno Ferrarese.

“We expect them to find a natural commercial market within the buoyant construction sector in the Arab world,” he says. “Idrotech’s fogging equipment is designed for use in the Middle East, where efficient systems are important to overcome dust and reduce the typical high temperatures of the regions.”

“We want to repeat the success we have experienced in other countries in the Middle East, by making the right choice in terms of distributors and agents involved in our project,” he adds.

Over the past year, Idrotech has launched a number of new products that have captured the attention of world markets, including the Fog 100 Ambiente and the Fog Maker.

Fog 100 Ambiente is an innovative system that, thanks to a revolutionary high-tech electronic system, transforms a simple humidification device into a superb cooling system, Ferrarese says.

“The heart of the system lies in its control panel which regulates the levels of temperature and humidity, which are detected by sensors in the environment to be treated. On the basis of these levels, the system’s software instantly adjusts the quantity of water to be sprayed, thus adapting to the needs of the environment,” Ferrarese explains.

The system, which is noiseless and vibration free, is available in four programmes: wellness, dust suppression, humidification and perfuming.

The Fog Maker, meanwhile, is used for dust suppression. These industrial fogging systems use nozzles placed on a misting ring installed on a powerful fan to spray  billions of fine droplets 60 m into the air with a field rotation of 320 degrees.

The Fog Maker is available in two versions: Elephant and Giraffe.

While Elephant, characterised by a short support column, is the more powerful system, Giraffe, equipped with a hydraulic support column, is more versatile, stretching its pantograph-like neck to a height of 5.2 m, says Ferrarese.

In the low-pressure version (10 bar), the Fog Maker is ideal to suppress dust, while the high-pressure configuration (60 bar) is perfect for cooling large outdoor areas, such as concert facilities, sport grounds and parks, he says.

Constant innovation combined with the growth of emerging markets has set the pace for a successful future for the Idrobase, which registered its best sales performance in July this year – up 46 per cent over July 2009 – the highest in the last 24 years.

The group will be present at Arena PMV B60 at The Big 5.
