Hardware firms to go on show

More than 1,000 products from over 200 companies around the world will be on show at the Hardware & Tools Show at the Dubai World Trade Centre next month.

The exhibition from February 3-6 targets companies involved in building, electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing and sanitary services and maintenance besides architects and surveyors, builders merchant, hardware store or any store that sells hardware and tools.

"This is also a great show for any business that uses hardware and tools such as repair garages, manufacturers, oil and gas, boat builders, and many others. Agents and distributors will also find a large number of companies at the event looking for new agents in the region," said a spokesman for the organiser, Epoc International.

He said exhibitors will be coming from all over the world including Germany, UK, US, France, Italy, Spain, Norway, Argentina, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Taiwan, and India.

"Once again WSM, the German trade association for hardware and tools, will be hosting a major pavilion with the support of the German federal ministry of economics," said the spokesman.

The pavilion will feature leading companies such as Alfred Kaercher, makers of high-pressure cleaners, steam cleaners, vacuum cleaners, sweepers and commercial vehicle washing machines; AS Exclusiv, which will be showing a unique line of specialised metal bending machines; Einhell AG, maker of power tools to gardening equipment and JDO Eurotech representing the German fuel and lubricants company ARAL.

Others at the pavilion will include Orbis Werk Groten, Schulte-Schlagbaum AG, Wefra-Werke, Wiha Werkzeuge Willi Hahn, Deitrich Karnasch Saegan und Schneidwerkzeug and Voelkel.

A wide range of suppliers and agents of tools and hardware from all over the Gulf will also be present at the show. Among the leading names present will be EBMC, Super Technical, Al Jarsh Trading Company, Arwani Trading, United Trading and Nasser Al Sayer and Company.

Six groups of China comprising more than 50 individual companies will be putting their products on show while the British Hardware and Housewares Manufacturers Association will be returning with a British products pavilion for the third time.

Thirty companies from Taiwan will be among leading companies from Asia, Europe and the US.
