TCM of Japan has redesigned a range of heavy-duty forklifts as part of a drive to further strengthen its position in global markets.

The revamped 10- to 16-tonne heavy-duty forklift series is specifically targeted at steel mills, factories and warehouses, says TCM’s Saudi distributor Aljomaih Equipment Company.
Highlighting the features of the new series, Aljomaih general manager Abdullah S Al Ali says: “The forklift is mounted with a powerful engine that meets stringent Tier 2 emission controls and has improved drawbar pull and gradeability. With its 114 kW turbocharged Isuzu diesel engine, the forklift series packs more power to perform continuously under very harsh operating conditions with remarkable top-class lifting speed, helping speed-up work.
He continues: “A deluxe rotating driver’s seat – with forwards, backwards, and up-and-down adjustments – provides more safety and comfort while a large-capacity air-conditioning system further reduces driver fatigue during long operating hours.
“A pillarless and elevated cabin, with its compact meter panelboard, enhances operator visibility for safe and comfortable driving. The unit is equipped with automatic three-speed transmission with a finger-touch lever for shifting gears, achieved by magnetic valves, while a simple switch changes the transmission from power (first to second to third gear) to economy mode (first to second to automatic mode).
“A feather-touch switch engages the electric parking brake system, while hydrostatic power steering and the tilt adjustable steering post contribute to an effortless driving.”
Aljomaih also represents Iveco Motors, Merlo, Nardi and Case New Holland of Italy, Claas and MTU of Germany, Tacom of Japan, Nokka Tume of Finland, Perkins of the UK, Arcusin of Spain, and Valmont Industries of the US, which manufactures Valley irrigation systems.
The firm also sells generator sets and engines, wheel loaders, dozers, graders, concrete mixers, vibratory compactors and asphalt rollers, forklifts and telescopic handlers, marine container straddle carrier and agriculture equipment and systems.
