Four projects boost Ibrahim A Asmael

Ibrahim A Asmael Establishment has enhanced its portfolio as a turnkey contractor for civil, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning works) with four new commercial and residential buildings in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Three of these – the Al-Mutlaq commercial complex, Al-Sheifan commercial and residential complex, and Zate office building – are structurally complete while work on the fourth, the Al-Jalawia Plaza, is well under way, says general manager Ibrahim Asmael.
Detailing the features of the new shopping plaza, he says: “Currently in its foundation stage, the SR19.32 million ($5.12 million) Al-Jalawia Plaza is being built for Abdulkareem Al Khereiji. Occupying a 36,000 sq m plot, the single-storey precast mall will have a built-up area of 24,000 sq m including a mezzanine floor and a car-park. Gap Engineering Consultants is the main consultant for the air-conditioned mall, which is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
 He continues: “Al Mutlaq  is a complex of five buildings, spread over 15,570 sq m with a total built-up area of 28,900 sq m. Work on the SR50.5 million ($13.4 million) project commenced in June 2003 and was completed last December. Saudi Designers was the consultant on the project for Abdulrahman Al Mutlaq.
“The SR12 million ($3.19 million) Al-Sheifan commercial and residential building for Saad Rashid Al-Sheifan occupies an area of 1,200 sq m and has a built-up area of 9,600 sq m. With Al Awami Planners and Consultants as the main consultant, work on the eight-storey plus basement project commenced in January 2004 and was completed last October.
“Zamel and Turbag Construction Engineering is both the client and consultant for the SR15 million ($3.99 million) Zate office, a commercial complex which occupies an area of 12,600 sq m. Construction commenced in June 2003 and was completed last October. The four-storey aluminium-clad building has a basement and car park.”
