Jasaf wins warehouse deal

The Dubai-based Jasaf Building Technology (JBT) has won a contract for the construction of distribution warehouse and offices for Transmed at Dubai Investment Park.

Transmed was established in Lebanon in 1945 as a distributor of premium FMCG brands. In 1975, it started operation in the UAE and later expanded into Jordan and Syria.

The new warehouse project is intended to accommodate the growth of the business and to help provide a higher level of customer service. The project consists of the construction of:

  • A state-of-the-art environmentally-friendly distribution warehouse with offices equipped with dock-levellers, overhead doors, sprinkler system and ventilation system;

  • Dedicated services building incorporating a substation, LV (low-voltage) room, underground water tank for domestic and fire-fighting system and pumping stations;

  • Facility infrastructure including paved areas, walkways, roads, underground water tanks; and

  • Integrated building services including water, drainage, power and air-conditioning works.

    The total built-up areas is 15,890 sq m. The project has been designed by Robert Mathew, Johnson-Marchall, Engineers and Architects.

    JBT was founded in Dubai in 1967 and since then has grown into one of the leading construction companies in the UAE.
