India’s Abad Builders Real Estate is making a foray into the UAE property market with the launch of its Dh130 million ($35.4 million) freehold residential development Platinum Heights at Emirates City in Ajman.
“Construction work on the 31-storey project has already begun with the soil testing and other work completed and the piling contract work worth beginning first week of the month (December) at an estimated cost of Dh7 million,” said Dr Najeeb Zackeria, executive director, Abad Builders.
The project is expected to be completed by March 2010.
The development will feature one-bedroom, one-bedroom-study and two bedroom apartments in a centrally-air-conditioned complex with various amenities including a health club, swimming pool, sauna and a jacuzzi with a 500,000 sq ft built-up area.
The developer is looking at expanding its property development initiatives into Dubai after the Ajman project. “We have been seeing a significant potential in the mid-range segment for such apartments where there is a gap between demand and supply due to a shortage in reasonably-priced residences.
